But it was actually before India’s first match against South Africa which they won by 6 wickets earlier this week.Both Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar played a key role in India’s resounding victory over the Proteas in their campaign opener at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.The Indian team is now gearing up to face Australia in their second match in London on Sunday. Australia registered a narrow 15-run win over the West Indies in their last match and are placed second in the points table behind New Zealand with two wins from two games.The Indian team couldn’t practice on Friday as rain washed out their session, leaving the Virat Kohli-led side with only one day to train ahead of Sunday’s big-ticket showdown with Australia.The players instead visited the Indian High Commissioner’s residence in London on Friday.
